Donkey

Some donkey complained my blog is dead.. Unfortunately he's too true... It's not dead, its just the effect of hols.. wats more boring than exams seems to be hols..

While I hear others seem to enjoy their time at Redang and all, our planning, own one that is, has been completely NIL.. it happened at first, too early, and then work caught up.. besides, wei sheng said he wasn't up for it *tryin to pinpoint the blame on him while its clearly mine*

So day after day, the 3rd day now, there hasnt been much to do, but my well deserved rest have not yet arrived.. Parents expect me to be doing something like work.. Which sane employer hires a worker for 3 weeks? besides, its my hols, and while i sympathize that you still have to work, the fact is that this is my last 3 years of "mid term breaks" which will forever never happen again.. So leave me alone to do as i wish.

Sleeping times also seem to be slowly creeping later... and mornings later.... or in some days, afternoons.. I hope to find something to place in this blog within the nex few days..

Truth be told

What are blogs without rants? Yet risky they are, mistood for complaints frequently. And yet, such a public matter, how private can the rant get? a big 1week gap between exams, it feels like exams are already over

As the end of semester 1 approaches, so do a lot of things unseen by many, and unfelt until much later, like many other end-of-the-year posts.. Amongst other things, the end of the semester mark the beginning at a new campus.. Life in uni, I must say, is much different than in school, or even in pre-u, in some ways, better, and others, worse.

For one thing, there are classes, hence, there are no group and people you meet in your tutorials are bounded only time slots. I have yet to know the names of people in all of my 4 unit tutorials, nor is any form of communication ever attempted. As far as we, uni, people are concern, we're in to learn from the 1-2hour class, and out. Socialling isn't important, and even the tutor gets fed up, not because we're constantly too noisy, but because we're too quiet in class. Absolutely no feedback or respond to any form of question or teaching

Beyond the classes, people on the corriders are 'I'm up for myself only' and 'Move it-My time's important' frequently seen. Sit in the library for 30 minutes and I'm about to go berserk, - flipping pages suddenly seem like the loudest sound in the world and looking around, you'll see people staring at you for flipping a page so 'loudly'. For up to these 4 months in my 1st semester, everyday has been mainly sticking together with pre-u frens from the SAM days, the last of my 'classes' days. Much surprisingly, the k3 at Monash has managed to bound together quite well even after SAM, unlike many of those who have split in other unis

Even that, though, may be coming to an end if not carefully watched. With the 1st semester completed and over, most of the common core units are now over. This means that once this semester is over, which is already is, the chances of k3 sticking together is also slimmer.. Readers up to this point who are still in school/pre-u would probably say, whats the big deal? Get new friends and meet new people.. However, that, especially that has its limitations.. Because all 4 units are completely entirely up to you to choose (besides the last 2 core common units) one friend from this unit, another friend from that unit, not to mention, similarly to them, they would probably hang out with their pre-u friends. So there you are, trying to make new friends, sitting with a group of complete strangers. Day by day passes.. Unlikely scenario, the likely one is that it would depend on luck, probability if your fren's in the same unit, more luck in getting syncronised timing on breaks, and even more luck with the rest of the group.. Chances are, unless lady luck is completely blessing you, that you will end up alone. Hence, back to the 1st paragraph.. What a big chicken and egg situation no one sane will probably think off

So, alone then. What happened to the great amount of fun and freedom you had envisioned back in high school? Movies, games, and especially, love? Truth be told, reality's a bit much more harsh. Uni's are friggin expensive, which makes u aim for their ridiculously high scholarship requirements.. To do so, you'd probably devote the rest of your time in addition to doing so alone. The end result, is an overstressed tired, lonely, sad, and miserable uni student.

I am not aiming high or hoping much. Preparing myself for a very much lonely and miserable 2 and a half years more of uni life such, of which parents will never understand a single bit of them.. And will graduating, and working life be any different? People at work, mostly, are there for the money and money alone. Who gives a damn about friends there?

So, in the end, things are looking bleak, unavoidable, and called the 'facts of life', also known as 'reality' our parents somehow love to put it.

Exams

I must admit that I have not been actively blogging for all of my blogs recently, I apologize.. Life's a little slow anyway, where everyday consists of waiting up at 11, studying/playin whole day, then back to sleep.. Exams are here again, the first and last exams of the semester.. probably the best part about it that 3 outta 4 exams starts at 1.30. PM. syok, not like SAM at 7am exam..

Driving to uni for exams is also syok.. no morning jam.. reach there plenty of parking.. * a big chunk of the campus students are off atm* I'm just exhausted though, typical exam sickness is about again.. flu, sore throat, headache, fever.. typical...

As I've mention earlier, life's a bore dull cycle at the moment, so I shall find/write more articles, inspired by the previous article..~ Till next time..
