A new year - 2008!

A new year, a new life, new obstacles, new challenges, new subjects, new friends, new environment. Still within the new year, there are old friends, old customs, old habits, old books, and the list goes on.

With each passing year, I ponder the thought of meeting new friends, more so particularly next year, when several of us, including me, are heading to Australia. For probably all of us, it'd be the first time away from home for a long term basis. Not that I'm worried about adapting, - I do that well enough, - I worry more for the people left behind, my family n friends.

Every year I seem to be all over these sort of posts, and every year it doesnt change. Anxious about the future, worried about the past, meeting new people, going new places, the list seems to be repeating itself every year.

Oh so sorry for being such a repetitive bore, but it kinda reflects how life is. A cycle. A routine. A circle. =/

A sudden statement,
A moment silence,
A heart's pondering,
A lost heart

Know that you're not alone,
Know that you had me there,
Know that it raises the stakes,
Know that it brings a new hope,
to something I had once thought impossible,

Day passes silently..

When it was years, I told myself there was plenty of time, why think about it so fast.. when it was months, I gave no thought about it.. Now, with each passing day, it does seem like days leaving home is numbered.. what am i supposed to feel? Rather worried.. Like a huge chunk of myself I'll be leaving behind in Msia..

Settled my payment for visa today.. all thats left is a day to go take to do X-raying and medical.. Accomodation, I've fixed my eyes on student housing that does seem allright.. Most likely that'll be the one.. Suddenly everything strikes me.. its confirm, a sure thing.. im going to aus and heck, its soon.. its a whole different change..

I may sound like I'm whining, or rather, scared of the change (which is possibly true to certain extent).. I'm more worried than anything else? worried not being able to adapt? nope, thats not it.. Worried about the people I leave behind.. Worried of not being there for ppl I care most.. Oh nvm...

On a more cheerful note, my new com is a beauty.. no regrets watsoever.. muz be the biggest best buy in this decade! any other systems with the same specs wud probably costs twice as much!! Sigh, though, on the sad side, I just found out a defective component in my laptop hours ago.. Backlit of my LCD screen is somewhat defective.. Hope d Dell ppl will come asap to fix ~ Besides this particular defective, its a superb com.. love every bit of it.. lol.. Its also dam powerful.. relatively la.. Call of duty 4, company of heroes, Hitman, all run perfectly smooth with the highest setting.. Graphics are just nothing short of superb.. I cant believe how far graphical gaming has gone in 20 years.. just 20.. no.. 10 year ago we were all contented with pacman and card games...

Vista preloaded on my com.. is also a super beauty.. However, i generally advise ppl without a strong specs, especially a graphics card (for those who use integrated), probably wud go without the extra visual detail.. It does show signs of sluggishness during startup.. but once startup, its smooth as silk.. the way i like doing work - no delays.. Though, u may think ppl at microsoft has gone paranoid over security.. god the windows bug u over every tiny little thing.. copy files, paste files, cut files, run files, open files, update files, change settings, and the list is never ending.. its starting to get annoying.. and i've yet to find a way to turn it all off without having to manually set each individual program one by one that they have my full authorization..

I've no regrets getting XPS either, their support is a entire level higher than the standard one.. For one, they have a 24 hour hotline.. I dun have to wait till working hours to call.. an entire hotline dedicated to XPS owners..

Perhaps u could call me unsecure, unsteady, uncertain, unsure.. That wud best describe how I'm feeling.. perhaps add immature and childish in it too.. ala, end of the day, this is my blog, and my feelings.. tho some of u mite think these are best kept to urself, it never hurts to share..

My Dell

Yaaaaaaaaaarrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr my dell came!! it came few hours earlier summore.. muahhaha.. woot!!.. Pics attached~!! Reformatted the thing and reinstall back... i must say windows vista looks gorgeous... havent seen or used anything so nice b4.. its also quite responsive XD XD

Offers are all out! Transfers, exchange, and yada yada.. now that I've accepted d exchange, seems like d path to aus is clearer now.. *Note that the eCoE has yet to arrive... i wonder in wat year it will come* *My units in WES has not yet been modified either*.. and conveniently, d invoice billing u thousands of dollars has come first..

Anyway, my dell XPS is coming tmr!!! yeah!! cant wait.. haha.. XD XD..

Short post again today.. I hope my eCoE can come as soon as possible.. haihz..
