The first few seconds into the air of melbourne was greeted by colder-than-genting like gust.. So much for the summer scorching heat at first, I thought. The first thing I noticed is that the civil service in Australia is overrated. Or at least at the airport. After hearing great things about how efficient the services are, it was kinda disappointing how they handled airport crowd going through checking out.. The lines were ridiculously long and branched in every direction possible.. and worst of all, not moving! for an hour! Their dogs who come to sniff around are really cute tho..
I got most of my critical things settle within days of arrival. Accommodation. Banking, and the rest lar.. Orientation is only 2 days long.. So basically I cut my CNY short to attend two days of orientation.. =.=
One thing that had definition met expectation is the weather. First week of arrival was cold! The second was scorching sun and heat desert-like.. and now this week its raining.. =.=
