Random rants..

I actually started this blog with a more serious tone about life and the reason for it but than figured i'm gonna start losing wat little of my blog readers if i crap more about dat. So hence, nothing serious, nothing deep, just light hearted blog rubbish today.

OMG.WTH.

I looked through 2004 photos and I found this photo. I've become OBESE!! MY GOD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I'm probably very motivated to do 1000 pushups now at 1am in the morning in the living hall.. WHAT ON EARTH - I USED TO LOOK LIKE DAT?

Melbourne food. I blame the bigger portions and er.. EXAMS. STRESS.

Anyway, I'm googling "Brocolli recepies" where only two ingredients are required, brocolli and water.

Well in comparison, here's how i look like now, to those who hasnt seen me in a while..

Yes ignore the erm.. melbourne-sized ice cream please.. seemingly very fitting in the content of this blog post.. =.=

Fine. Enuf ranting. time to start my 1000 pushups.

Finding the meaning....

Yes I know this sound rather deep.. Shouldnt we all pause and give a thought, to what do we live our daily lives for? What defines our lives and the meaning of it?

To what do we study for 20 years of our lives? to work in a cubicle for the next 40? What meaning is there in working so so hard to get bits of paper and plastic that dictates our lives?

I have nothing but question when it comes to having a meaning. We go through school because our parents (and the law) forces us to. We study because we're forced to. Why? So we can go through lives trying to out-do everyone else around us? Because thats what life seems to be about simply: - to out-do the persons next to you.

Look at school. Grades, Class Positions, Rank, and Awards. We're constantly reminded that the higher the better, so that we're better than others; that from the moment we're born, we're trapped like a thousand people on a single ladder pushing your way up, even if it means stepping on others. Top achievers are lavishly praised and worshipped, the average is ignored, and the weak is looked down upon.

Is there something really wrong with the general principle and society of how we live 'life'?

No different in work, evaluations and performance appraisals take over grades of examinations. Nor in relationships, where some compare their partners unreasonably.

Is being 'better' than the person next to you all that matters?

So I ask again, to what do you live your life to? I, for one, am still looking for my meaning in life and have not found one yet.

Share with me, for those of you who have found your reasons to live life. Be it your partner, thrill of dare-devil adventures, your work, your friends, anything. I'm all ears..
