Starbucks, truly my second home..

In over two countries I find myself seeking the comfort of my second home, Starbucks. I truly find a sense of tranquility for some reason, sitting here usually alone, watching the people past and with either a book or a laptop.

Starbucks ss15 have changed alot since my pre-u days.
I know some people think its like some form of status, but anyone who knows me knows I don't give a damn about status.

Starbucks @ Bangsar Village I
Often I'm waiting for someone, or something. Meetings perhaps, meetings with buyers and sellers. Just finding some comfort in the troubled mind and soul.

Oh DiGi you disappoint as well.

After ranting about how useless Maxis is, DiGi, you disappoint as well..

Perhaps I gotten used to better coverage, but your coverage is simply quite terrible. Unless you assume your customers live on the open roads or outdoors all d time, you have to improve your coverage indoors.

First up is speed, compare d pics below.. What a difference in 3G speeds to begin with.. Although I must give credit to Digi's openness which clearly sets expectation upfront..

Maxis's

Digi's

Then there's d terrible coverage. Notice d lack of even Edge in the middle of a densely populated office blocks =.= I find myself cycling airplane mode more often than I would like to admit. Basements are d worst, and most probably place u need coverage.

So the question now is, which is the lesser of two evils? Maxis fucks u up with excess data usage, Digi suffers poor coverage and slow Internet. Celcom? Where are you even? Please fire your website designer and get a new one.

Large companies becoming arrogant companies

ey look! Two posts in a day. Its the time you know I'm in the blogging mode.

Hey there Maxis, I've only been a loyal customer for the past 9 years, with an average bill higher than your average Joe.

First off let me say that you have grown tremendously arrogant and that you have ripped me off for too many years.

Data Package
Prior to this week, the only way to get mobile internet is to subscribe to one of their data packages. The maximum being 3GB at RM88, and excess charged at the exorbitant rate of RM10 per MB. The rate which should be illegal for fucking customers inside out. Add that to the fact that prior to November 2011, there is absolutely no way to check usage and absolutely no notification whatsoever.

If Maxis tells you that you've used 10GB data, it means u used 10GB data, and whoopsie here's the RM250 for data. I do take note that this seems to have changed recently with the launch of a way to check internet usage as well as new plans, but sorry, I've been hit with a bill shock way too many times.

RM17,424.05 is the amount I'm supposed to pay if they didn't have the RM250 cap in place. I'm supposed to be grateful. My ass.

RM50 to change ownership.
Changing ownership within the same provider isn't like changing car or land ownership. There are no procedures, or documents to obtain. It's some customer service rep sitting at a computer, after photo-copying your IC, can do within 3 minutes.

3 MINUTES work which Maxis blackmails customers for RM50 because they know if you want to keep your number, pay up or lose it. The customer service rep has the nerve to tell me I could always cancel and lose my number otherwise.

Congrats Maxis, this nailed the coffin in your sea of arrogance, despite your new somewhat attractive plans, I will think twice before I consider ANY plan from you again.

There are now TWO outlets in mid valley and TWO outlets in subway pyramid. Like seriously? So big until u have to open two outlets in d same mall.

Apparently so though, if anyone has seen d insane queue sometimes at mid valley.

Chatime, now spreading to Bangsar Village 1.

P.S - now that theere is an official blogger app for iphone I forsee myself blogging more frequently. Surprisingly there is still a decent view count on my pretty-much-dead blog lol.
