This week in a blink.

Dear dear this week seemed to have blazed fast in a blink of an eye. Not that I'm not grateful, its finally the weekends again. Man there must be more to life than just looking forward to the weekends.

I'm like so beat and I need like a retreat, rest, massage, spa, anything. I'm like constantly on the verge of just collapsing and sleeping just about anywhere.

Anyway, as promised (actually never did), this week in pictures!

Dell XPS
First off I get to test my hands out on the brand new Dell XPS 13. So new in fact we had to wait weeks for the manufacturing to complete. Sleekest Dell laptop, so sleek that it doesn't even have a LAN port. Kinda bordering on absurd isn't it? Nonetheless, did I mention sleek and beautiful already? Oh yeah sleek and amazingly stylish. Too bad it isn't mine =p.

Finally. Dota 2.
Finally. I get to test out the Dota 2 currently in Beta thanks to a friend invite many weeks back. I must say while the graphics isn't as nice as I thought, the gameplay is still there. It is still kinda hard to differentiate the different heroes - and for some unknown reason the words on my screen are freaking smaller than ANTS. and that is quite literal. Last game played: SK Score 22-4.

Jambu Batu Seller
This Jambu Batu Seller just outside my office is ridiculously popular. So popular in fact that I think he earns crap load of money daily. There's like a need for a 20 minute queue for our jambu and by the time we leave often there's like a horde of 10 people waiting in line already. But his asam is really something else.

In other less exciting news, my aircond decide to take a piss at me.

By peeing inches away from my head.
This week lunch indulgences are aplenty. We have successfully completed Ipoh Yong Tau Foo, Char Siew @ Famous Seremban Favourites, and Lau Heong all in one week. If life was a game, that would be an achievement unlock right there.

Heavenly Indulgences @ Favourites Seremban Aman Suria
Mouth Watering Lau Heong
Starbucks ventures into ice cream making =.="

Really?

And a less than successful gathering but a fun and awesome one nonetheless. Thanks all for coming out :) And an expensive bottle of wine.

Last but not least, and the largest news of all, Diablo 3.

I am not  a fan of the series and heck I did not even play Diablo 2, but I'm sure Diablo 3 counts for something if there are so many people playing. I'm going to take abit of gamble here and try it out.

It's time to log off here.. and venture into the realm of Diablo. Bye Eugene!

Russell Peters World Tour Malaysia @ 11 May 12!

OH YEAH! I missed his first show in Melbourne mere months after I had left, and initially thought I would miss this show as well after Ticketcrappro screwed up. If ticketpro was a physical ticket stall stand I felt like kicking it down and trashing it.

Luckily a second show was held and this time I went with Redtix, courtesy of a friend ;).

It was a bit pretty much fucking retarded. Even after you printed out the so called e-ticket after buying them, you still had to queue the hell up to get the "real" tickets. So hordes and hordes of ppl had to queue just to get their tickets although they already had printed ones.

After which they had to queue the second time to get into the place. Note the single, sad, and freaking SMALL tent in the middle with fan. By now after queuing up in the first queue, most ppl were hot and sweating. This is freaking Malaysia, where organisers are retarded.

Single, and pretty much only poster that showed that we were not in the wrong place.

And then there was bag inspection. Old uncles were hagging and pretty much harassing everyone. Immediately after the gate was the seating arrangement. Like 1 meter in front of the gate doors, they put a poster. Most ppl would stop n check where they are seating, causing an unnecessary traffic congestion at the gate entrance. Again, organisers lack any common sense or logic whatsoever.

The "real" tickets.
Felt like a club inside a basketball stadium.
Concrete stairs were total darkness and felt like some dodgy club joint in the middle of downtown KL. No lights lit the stairs. I wonder if someone fell and tripped, can they sue? Anyway once entered, all my complaints flew out the window. Woww, it felt like entering a huge ass club at first.

And then the show started. No one was allowed to record, take pics, or even text, and the organisers were very efficient into stopping people from texting. The show itself was awesome, hilarious, and funny. I wouldn't have the same impact trying to even imitate Russell Peters, so I won't even try.

Finally over, we had dinner and drinks at Asia Cafe, and a good awesome night anyway ;)

Food Review: Fat Boy Burgers @ Publika

We were going out for some lovely Yong Tau Foo but drove alll the way there just to find it closed.

*MENTAL NOTE* Ipoh Road Yong Tau Foo is closed on Mondays.

Anyway then we wanted to go try out Red Bean Bag at Publika.. ALSO CLOSED. @.@

*MENTAL NOTE* Red Bean Bag is closed on Mondays too.

Are we not fated to have lunch, ever?

Standing around looking dumbfounded we just decided to go into the nearest restaurant where we stood.

The Fat Basterd @ RM28. The most expensive burger there is! the rest of the menu is like RM18-RM19.
If memory serves me right, thats double beef patty with pork bacon, melted cheese.

Oh did I mention the fat boy is not halal? It's d exact opposite, everything has mouth-watering pork from patties to bacon to pork patties stuff with pork bacon - its like pork heaven.

Their beef patties are cooked very nicely, although a bit too well done this round. It was supposed to be medium-well but it was definitely well done. Also it was really thick, so well done + thick patties = dry thick patties. However, their 'special' fat boy sauce made up for that and the bacon was awesome.

You can opt to swap the fries for other stuff, like I did to mash potatoes but it isnt recommended. Their fries are thick and more wedge-like than fries and definitely more worth it than d potatoes. Still, the potatoes were real mashed chunky potatoes rather than the usual power ones you find at cheaper places.

Fat Boy Burgers @ Publika menu below! Left at original size for you to zoom in :)

Their burgers are nothing short of awesome, though we had to wait quite a bit before the food came. Give it a try sometime!

Overall, I'd give it a thumbs up!

Marvel's Avengers does not disappoint!!

Well done, well done! Usually the hype is greater than the movie and the movie turns out to be a ~meh.

Avengers was without a doubt awesome!! Its a good thing I didn't go for the neck-sprain-inducing free ticket, cause it was worth watching it properly. Even a few times in fact.

There are just so many scenes that are simply awesome.

Anyway, moving away from the avengers craze, I came home to find a shocking part of our roof collapsed!! Its a major thing cause it could have easily collapsed on someone or the cars but luckily it didnt! Such drama!

Anyway its 3am and I'm hungry. Very hungry. The kind of hungry that I feel like cooking double Indomee, which I would have totally done if I were back in Melbourne. But I'm fat. LOL.

Dammit I'm feeling old.

P.S - Lets see if I can resist these hunger pangs..

Avengers.... or not.

My firm is pretty awesome at times. Sometimes just for the heck of it they would rent out an entire cinema hall to watch pretty new shows. This time, Avengers.

Unfortunately our firm also has more people that would fit in one cinema hall. Hence they have to play the win-the-lottery for the movie tickets.

Sadly, even if you did get picked, you risk getting seats like this. R02.

Pictured: Free Avengers Ticket. Free Popcorn. Not Pictured: Neck Sprain, Red Eyes.
Worst possible tickets ever? Okay maybe S01 is the worst.
Unlucky betul. Nvm la, I'm going to be watching it again tomorrow =.=" I thought I'd watch it twice but on careful and relentless consideration, I decided against risking a neck pain for the next two weeks just cause its free

I've heard that its awesome though ;) I shall know tomorrow!!
