And they laughed away..

And they laughed away,
these people in front of me,
ones I call my acquaintance,
slapping each other in the backs,
And they laughed away,
speaking amongst themselves,
in a language none but themself would understand,
surrounded by high walls and barbed wires,
And they laughed away
for me to dent these walls and wires,
I was ignorant,
when their great doors was once opened,
And they laughed away,
A loner by nature and a loner by heart,
A carefree soul by light and a deep thinker by dark,
A soul divided by desires,
And they laughed away,
And the great doors slammed upon me,
And how they scurried away,
And how the dusty trail I thread upon has now become quicksand,
And how the light that guided my path has faded,
And the path I walk is cloaked in darkness,
And their laughter reachest the furthest corner,
And I, once again, walk the lone path with nothing to gain nor lose,
And they laughed away.

Logging off,
