Day 1: Monday
Gotta wake up at 6 to err.. get ready.. Bus was gonna leave at 8.30, but couldn't take much chances of being later than that.. With much convenience, my dad fetched.. I picked up Suat Neo and Yi Jun as well and headed to Puduraya.. Arrived somewhat at around 8, and we seemed to be the first to arrive.. Had some breakfast, didnt taste that great.. The rest eventually arrived.. Some of them had breakfast while waitin for the bus..
Then there's the 4 hour bus trip to Lumut, and the class with the prom queen was in the same bus.. I don't know wat class is that ler, sry ah.. No doubt the noisiest bunch of ppl together.. The bus ride was unexpectedly really eventful... There were plenty of food, two guitars, plus live music.. No one seemed seated for more than 30 minutes..
Finally arrived at Lumut jetty at around 1.. Didn't do much at the jetty but took the ferry to Pangkor almost straight away.. It was very much smooth and straight forward.. Ferry => Pangkor => Taxi => Coral Bay.. We took the penthouse, which was actually just an oversized apartment.. haha.. its not like a penthouse u'd imagine at a 5 star hotels.. its just a big apartment with 3 room, which, fit 11 ppl quite comfortably.. Double-floor apartment, the gals took the upstairs and we got thrown to the smallest room downstairs.. XD
We went out almost as soon as we got into the room.. After a quick splash to freshen up, we headed to the beach.. We ate burger! from a indian guy who spoke mandarin... lol malu.. banana.. Banana boat was the first on the event list, and the cold winds of the sea felt great amidst the heat.. There was even a capsized event where the banana boat capsizes.. lol.. great fun..
Water games and sand games followed.. I can't remember how many hours we spent though.. lol.. Anyway, to blog to that detailed is to ruin the fun ler.. It's all in memories.. In short, there was (forced) stripping, dunking and burying.. Spent the entire afternoon just in the water.. Its pretty much confirmed I don't get sunburned.. For dinner, we walked to some restaurant.. rather surrounded by nothing.. pretty isolated as well.. haha.. seem to be having crabs and prawns and lotza seafood..
After dinner we went to the Karoake just next door.. quite a part of the resort actually.. We took the 2 hour package thingi and sang to our heart's content.. It was quite ok la.. the mandarin speaking ppl gave face, at least got some english songs.. ^^ Got sofa to seat dun wan... all stand and jump on sofa.. apa la.. hahaha.. dam fun la..
Put 11 young people together and u get people who refuse to sleep.. I took about 30 minutes to walk out alone to enjoy the beach quietly, which, im pretty sure no one else enjoys quietly sitting by the beach to just do nothing.. It was already about midnight at that time.. By the time I came back I still heard a ruckus.. Wonder how anyone can sleep with such noise.. There were those who were asleep, or trying to..desperately.. Played some card games, told some ghost story and the conversation ended up talking about religion.. Eventually we all went to sleep.. About an hour later someone crept downstairs to.. err.. i dun even know wat.. but got ambushed.. :D lol that was reli fun la.. Then we sat and chat and chat and still yet cant sleep.. whose the we? haha.. not telling :D
Day 2: Tuesday
Some people right.. call everyone to wake up 5 am after sleeping at 3am... Not like I *think* I slept at all.. After all the girls went up to sleep.. we guys continued to talk a while.. until finally finally decided the need to get some damn sleep.. In the morning, err... i mean, a few hours later.. when I woke up, the first thing I saw was kyth's face staring at me.. Apparently he was waking me up.. after that he go seat at the couch like a dead/depressed.. or depressed AND dead zombie..
We were apparently waking up at 5 am to watch the sunrise.. although I thought I remember this beach was a sunset beach.. and it seems I thought right ^^.. Oh well, since we're up early, we actually make our day longer by having no night sleep.. We walked the beach as the sun slowly rised and brightened the sky.. At the end of the beach there were some rocks and we all had fun climbing them.. Took some pictures and just sitting at the rock, enjoying the wind.. It felt so great.. the sky was really beautiful..
Someone I know seemed to remember alot of details.. =.= too many details.. that someone also dun dare climb rocks wan, although its onli about a meter in height... haha.. so nice on top there.. After we came down, we had our breakfast back at the penthouse.. Our food supply seemed to be piling up very high, so we had to cut it down somehow.. Looks like we brought enough food to last a month.. We ended up eating maggi mee and drank milo/coffee.. Somehow it feels like one very big family, quite fun also lar..
Took a boat out to go for island hopping and snorkeling.. This guy, which yi jun started called sifu/guru.. was quite sporting also la.. After showing us some cursed rocks that supposedly look like animals, he dived down to get a sea cucumber and a sea rambutan.. although its not the first time I've seen/held a sea cucumber, it was no doubt disgusting.. :D the sea rambutan looked freaky though.. Then we sit the speed boat zoom around there and here and the wind felt great la... He would make sudden turns and we all also go cheer~
After a while we stopped at a place where apparently fishes knew where to get free food.. Although the water was not clear at all, the fishes were interesting.. and we'd get to swim.. and also laugh and point at those who cant.. errr.. i mean.. help those who cant... :P Sorry la, it was really a funny sight, to see the other 2 guys dangling to the boat.. *Hope derek doesnt read blogs... *
Since we earlier agreed for 30 minutes, it was soon up and we got on the boat and headed home.. Again on the way back, the guru played stuntman, and was really fun la.. These are things u definately cant do with ur parents.. After reaching back at the shore.. All also want to jump off.. I have never really tried to float in the sea, so I took the chance to try it.. Jumped in without a life jacket, much to the horror of Reiko it seems.. or so I thought I heard her.. I could tell it was a hell a lot easier to float in the sea than the swimming pool, I think cuz of the salt content.. Swam back to shore, paid the guy and went off to have lunch~!I cant reli remember what we had for lunch dy... errr... did we even have lunch? ahh sry ah.. Kyth said we didnt have lunch.. After that we rented some bicycles from the next door shop.. ah, but there was a bummer.. sim yee didn't know how to ride, so we rented a special bike with those metal bars on top of the back wheel, actually used to put stuff like bags/books.. Its not very comfortable but its better than being left out rite? :D
So after we got all geared up, we began our cycling expedition! Then it began to rain.. =.= at first it was rather small so we ignored it but it kept getting stronger.. and so we turned around and waited back at the hotel/resort/apartments..
After wat seemed to be 5 minutes.. the raid seemed to have stopped.. So we gave it another shot.. after cycling out for about another 10 minutes.. the rain hit again.. hate this on/off rain.. It was also very hot, the sun was shining and it was wet from the rain.. basically the worst sort of weather u would want to cycle in..
So we cycled and battled rain and heat until we really don't think we should cycle further.. so we stopped in a corner.. But then, sick of stopping every few minutes, we just thought we should just go ahead and go thru hellish weather.. Cycled and cycled till we finally reached the town, soaking in sweat and water.. We parked our bikes in a corner with other motorbikes and locked them, then went walking around town..
Our first stop was food~! Having 11 people means being rather undecisive and we walked past coffeehouse after coffeehouse till the weary and stressed out people finally gave in and more or less just chose randomly which coffeehouse.. We got in one which had onli one store open, and most of us weren't too bothered what we were eating.. as long we got shelter, rest and cold drinks..
Yi Jun recommended we try some err.. pow pow drink, apparently a healthy sort of 'leong sui' with lotza herbs and that sort of stuff.. anyway it was refreshing.. I think at that point, anything cold was refreshing.. So refreshing that I ordered 3 glasses of it.. We still had balance from the Pangkor money, so the last of it was used to pay for all the food and drinks..
We didnt cycle all the way here to have a meal and go back.. So we walked around town, jumping in and out of shops, mostly without buying anything.. Here's also where I bought my seafood junk, for bringing back home.. After a while we seemed to have gone a round.. so we got on our bikes and continued our journey..
Reaching a crossroad, there was a sign pointing to some err.. historical site or something like that.. So, being adventurous, we took that route and much to our horror it lead on a 70 degree slope.. Of cuz I've exaggerated a bit.. The '70 degrees' slope lasted only about 5 meters.. then it was downhill instead.. uphill had to push, downhill also had to push.. it was quite dangerous, not knowing the condition of our bike brakes.. besides, yi jun can't cycle with sim yee uphill or downhill.. so we all walked.. It was a nice sight for a change, able to see the sea and the fishing village..
And there was more or less when the metal thing behind yi jun's bike broke.. At first we all thought it wasn't much and some, continued on.. But then it was obvious she could no longer sit on it.. haha.. then the stress levels began to shoot up.. We were a little far to walk, and to err.. dump sim yee wasn't reli an option.. :D
Of cuz, Kyth came to the rescue, honouring his word yesterday, saying he would fetch whoever who couldnt ride the bikes.. Think his plus points with the gals +100 dy.. But I think I respect him for that la.. hahaha.. it was quite far for him to fetch simyee, practically carryin her in front of him.. The best part was when a bus full of tourists past by, they all whistled~! :)
I headed back first with a few gals, cuz he said it was wayy too crowded for 11 people to be cycling side by side on a damn narrow 2 way 2 lane road.. After reaching back I headed back in the opposite direction to see if I can help carry some stuff.. Before I could even reach the junction, they were already there..
I headed to the nearby store to get 11 cans and bottles of 100+ for everyone, everyone was either dead exhausted or reli stressed..Hoping it would cool things down a little... Kyth just collapsed back in the penthouse.. =.= so unfit :D he's so gonna kill me.. he'll go and say.. I cycled with her all the way back.. lalala...
So, back in the apartments.. we all just took baths, lie around, eat junk food, play cards and listen to music for a while.. after all, kyth was in the zombie mode zombie-ing around like a dead fella.. groan there and here.. hahaha.. We rested, and then Audrey, Sher Yen and Suat Neo took Sim Yee out, apparently to teach her to bike, it was interesting, and quite admirable of sim yee lo~
They managed to teach her in a few hours time, while, we, which is Derek, me and kyth, plus Shuen Sze and Yin Siang cycled around in the area.. Only now the weather was great.. it was shady and cooling, but most importantly, it was NOT raining.. the wind by the beach felt great, we cycled on and on and on till it was a dead end.. Somehow my pedal of my bike broke when I was just starting on it.. So, these ciplak bikes ah, break there and here.. lol.. in the end also I put it back to hide it.. lalala~
By the time we came back it was about 6.30pm.. Then I realized, thanks to kyth, borrowing a 2 t shirts and a pair of pants, I had run out of clothes.. :D despite having the biggest luggage bag.. So I bought 2 tshirts, one from the next door shop and one from the shop within Coral Bay.. It was cheap anyway..
We wanted to see the sunset, since we didnt manage to see the sunrise.. And for some reason we wanted.. err.. someone wanted steamboat.. so, we took a rather costly steamboat.. Rm20 per person.. I wasn't a fan of steamboat so I duno ler, but Shuen Sze said it wasnt nice.. ;) We saw hornbills being fed though, quite interesting..
Our sunset turned out to be behind another island nearby.. so it was rather blocked.. cursed the island.. may it sink someday. :D We ate our steamboat in relative silence, since it was to be eaten in waves.. eat then stop.. then eat.. then stop.. Finally finished 11's people portion, since yi jun didnt eat.. And then duno who not full enuf, we went to buy jagung after that.. :D Went back after that to the apartments..
Basically we guys sat on the bed playin cards for a while.. Then the gals decided to go out, but it was rather obvious like we werent very much invited.. :D it went like.. "we all going out, u all dont wanna come right?" Before we could answer, it continued " ok ok we understand.. lets go~!" .. lol.. we were left staring at a empty apartment before long..
Left poor 3 guys ditched by the gals, playing cards, chattin and listening music lo.. At first I suggested we guys go for a walk as well, the weather was very nice.. But then, i turn around and see kyth, again, and err.. u know la.. zombies dun go for walks.. so, kinda pity him if we left him all alone.. and pity derek if I left him with him alone.. :D hahahahaha.. man he's soo gonna kill me..So err.. it was rather uneventful game after game, and for some stupid reason the zombie kept winning.. I was careless, and I went and chainlock the door.. When the gals came back, we pretended to immediately sleep, but then of cuz they couldn't come in.. ah dang i had to get up to open it, while the other 2 guys pretend to be asleep.. Kyth stop pretending after a while, but derek continued 'sleeping'.. lol.. all the 8 gals all stare at him.. then kept pointing out he was smiling when sleeping.. hahaha..
Now that the gals are back, the noise came back with them.. It wasnt a bad thing, and a nice change.. The previous nights, we talked about playing truth or dare game, which in the end might as well be called the dare game cuz no one played truth.. Although we spent several hours on it, from midnight to around 2 i think, we didnt play that much cuz all the time taken in between forcing the poor victims to do the dare.. Lets see.. shuen sze kept being chosen as the victim.. It was fun la~ just watching them was fun..
It was a tiring day after all that cyling and stuff like that, so many went to sleep just after the game.. crash dy.. The remaining played some cantonese game, and the gambling stake was overdose of food brought.. i have no idea how we even lost after the initial winning streak.. and, my cantonese sucks worse than I thought..
So, after that it was really time to get some shut eye.. I was also crashing, having not slept that much.. I did some blog posting on my phone before I slept.. This time no one came creeping down.. haha.. ;) all knocked out.. and the day ends..
Day 3: Wednesday
This time, there was definately no waking up at 5 am.. Thats rather the time we slept minus 2 hours or so.. But we still had to check out at 12, so there's no complete freedom as well.. No surprising, crystal had to wake us up, banging on the door.. =.= seem rather experienced in wakin ppl up.. 'bang bang bang bang.. its 10 dy'... it was onli 9... just like my dad.. lol..
The entire morning was just lazzzzzzzeeeee... lazing around, no activities.. Relaxed, and chat, watched malay drama.. lol.. Nice of Joyce, Shuen Sze and Yin Siang who cycled all the way to town to buy us breakfast.. :) we had nasi lemak plus roti telur.. I chose the nasi lemak, but quickly realized it wasnt a great choice cuz it was rather hot..At 12, we checked out of the hotel, and then we hung around at the lobby.. The chairs were comfy there.. so we took a few of us to return the bikes to the shop, while the remaining watched over the bags.. Eventually we abandon the bags completely and headed to the beach~ The last moments at the beach and went on a picture taking frenzy~!
Feet take, Fingers, take, people wearing the same shirt colour take, faces take.. :D apa apa also take.. memang poser wei... best poser.. After hanging around at the beach, we headed back to the lobby.. Everything was still there, thankfully.. We grabbed our stuff and took a taxi to the jetty.. From the jetty, the ferry was already there so we were the first ones on the ferry..
Back at Lumut, the first one to leave was Yi Jun.. Since she was going straight back to Ipoh, she wasn't going to take the bus with us.. So her mom and brother came to pick her up from Lumut..
After she left, it was 10 left.. There wasn't much to do around Lumut Jetty so we headed back to the bus..
The bus ride was completely different than the one coming here.. Many were asleep throughout, and only woke up when we're just about to reach KL.. Our bus was at 3.30, and by the time we reached KL, it was dark and jam.. Finally reaching puduraya, the seperation began.. One by one all left, sorta sad feeling.. Grew less and less people at every stop we made..
